{WHO AM I?}

Hi there

 

Welcome to 'Don't Call Me Penny'. The name comes from a standing joke because I really dislike being called 'Penny'. I'm a Kiwi (New Zealander) living in Australia with 'a funny accent' so Penny, to Australians, sounds like 'Pinny' and I ain't no apron - a 'pinny' being slang for apron.

 

If you love FASHION & DESIGN then you have come to the right place. I work in the areas of fashion & design as a journalist and as the Managing Editor of a series of Australian-based on-line magazines. I have a pretty cool job that I love.

 

Miraculously, I have managed to translate some of my longest standing passions into...well...let's not call it WORK because it's really not. I get paid to do what I love and that's not work in anyone's book. My life is all about fashion, design, and beautiful things - and helping other people have beautiful things in fashion and design - plus I ADORE dogs and I am trying to be a better yogi. I also go motorbiking, am renovating a house and trying to pull together a 2.8 hectare garden.

 

As Managing Editor of StyleHunter.com.au, StyleHunterHome.com.au and StyleHunterBride.com.au I am immersed in all the things I love (except dogs, there are not enough dogs at the office - although by beautiful Chloe is now the official Office Dog).

 

'Don't Call Me Penny' is my way of bringing wonderful and practical 'stuff' to you.

 

Music is another passion so I also sit on the Board of Adelaide Hills Radio - a new, vibrant and progressive community radio station that ROCKS!
